This basketball competition, co-sponsored by China Basketball Association, Anhui Provincial Sports Bureau and Chuzhou municipal people’s government, is one of the important activities of the Anhui Chuzhou sub-venue of the first “China Farmers’ Harvest Festival” and the 7th China farmers’ song Conference, it is also a birthday gift for the 69-year-old mother of the motherland and a commemoration of the 40th anniversary of reform and opening up.

The competition can not only learn from the game skills, but also talk about agriculture, rural areas and farmers, and build a good communication platform.” Huang Junshi, member of the Party committee of Yonglian village in Jiangsu province and secretary of the Party branch of Yonggang Group, said, jiangsu Yonglian village basketball team members were selected from one basketball club in the village and eight basketball clubs of Yonggang Group, a village-run enterprise. The village holds basketball league matches every year, to enrich the spiritual and cultural life of villagers and workers.

Zhu Tao, chairman of the Basketball Association of Chengdu YUDU district, Sichuan province, said that the biggest achievement of the battle flag village team in this competition was that it could communicate with famous village teams all over the country. The competition coincided with the Mid-Autumn Festival. The organizing committee of the conference arranged a dinner party for each team. In the competition, Yunnan province sent two teams to impress the participants. A Tibetan team comes from Jiantang and is the heartland of “Shangri－La”. It is a region inhabited by ethnic minorities with Tibetan as the main body. Another Yi team is from Hama village, located in Shuanglong township, Panlong district, Kunming city. Their tenacious style in the competition, the friendly and united national spirit and the spirit of reform and opening up displayed outside the stadium have given more excitement to this competition.
