It is said that the participating parties have reached an agreement on the reform plan, which will only be implemented after the review and approval of the FIFA Council.
FIFA said in a statement that the participants in the London conference came from the European Club Association, top leagues, professional players association, FIFA member Football Association, representatives of all ififa and FIFA administrators. They collectively agreed to the transfer reform plan. The new plan will greatly enhance the transparency of football transfer operations.
FIFA president Infantino gave high hopes to the new transfer system: he said, “We have brought everyone to the table. Important practitioners in the industry all think that we should take measures, therefore, there is today’s reform plan…… This is an important first step towards higher transparency.”
The most important content of the reform plan is to set up an organization to monitor all football transfers and prevent fraud.
This reform plan will be submitted to the FIFA Council for consideration on October 26. If it is approved, FIFA will organize the implementation.
