The Yellow River is surging under the Helan Mountain. During the golden week of the 11th, Adili, the sixth generation descendant of Xinjiang Dawaz, came to the Dayu cultural park in Qingtongxia city, Ningxia Hui autonomous region again, challenging the Grand Canyon across the Yellow River with difficult movements every day, it brings tourists a thrilling and exciting non-heritage “feast”.
Wearing a bright red ethnic clothes, Adili held a 9-meter-long and 18-kilogram-weight balance bar. The 3.6-cm-thick steel wire under his feet was shining with silver light, and the yellow river was flowing fast. Adidas is like a flaming Swallow, flying smoothly between the blue sky and white clouds.
“I only watched him perform on TV before, and the scene was more exciting and thrilling. I really admire his courage and courage!” Yang Ping, a tourist from Shizuishan city, Ningxia, said.
The Crossing of the Yellow River Grand Canyon this time was completed by Adili and his apprentice. The two walked towards each other and completed the transposition at the mid-point. Looking at a series of difficult movements such as Adili’s challenge of high-altitude unprotected blindfolded walking, GOLDEN ROOSTER independence, high-altitude cornices, cross-legged sitting, and high-altitude selfie, the audience’s heart also seems to hang on a steel wire.
On August 26, 2016, Adili successfully completed the 1800-meter unprotected high-altitude steel wire walking across the Yellow River Grand Canyon, setting a new Guinness world record. Two years later, he led all members of the team to return to their hometown, but the thrilling index and difficulty coefficient this time increased compared with last time.
According to the organizer of the event, the height of the steel wire decreased by 5 meters and the radian increased by 30 degrees. The personnel would consume more physical strength when going up and down. At the same time, because the Yellow River is in the flood season, the 1000-meter-long steel wire cannot be fixed with cable and can only be hung with stones to maintain stability.
For Adili, these are not enough to see the beautiful scenery of the Yellow River. “I can see different scenery on the steel wire. The Yellow River is rolling and the sun shines on the canyon, which is very magnificent.” He said.
Due to the “11” Golden Week holiday, Adili’s “Dawaz” performance also increased the number of tourists in the Yellow River dxia Valley scenic spot. According to Ma Zhanfu, the head of the Yellow River Valley Scenic Spot in Qingtongxia, after the success of Adili challenge in 2016, the popularity of the scenic spot has greatly increased, and the number of tourists in the scenic spot during the “11” holiday increased by 30%. It is estimated that during the National Day this year, the daily average number of tourists will exceed 5,000.
“In the future, we also plan to hold an international tightrope walking competition to better integrate sports and tourism.” Ma Zhanfu said.
“Dawaz” means walking a big rope at high altitude. It is a traditional folk sports project in Xinjiang and has a history of more than 2,000 years. It was listed in the first batch of national intangible cultural heritage list in 2006. In 2013, Adili established a training school with the local government in his hometown, and has trained more than 30 “Dawaz” students.
“Not everyone has talent. Our students are one in a thousand, but I believe that the prospect of” Dawaz “inheritance is beautiful.” Adili said.
